Real estate development in Boston is a multibillion-dollar industry. But for people from underserved communities who do not have connections to the industry, this path to wealth generation is inaccessible.
The new Fallon Real Estate Entrepreneurship Youth Program seeks to equip young people with the skills, knowledge, and mentors needed to participate in real estate investing, and set them on a path to help eliminate the income and wealth disparity in Boston.

Industry experts will teach twenty-one young people ages 16 to 21 the ins and outs of commercial realestate investment, including how to:
-
Identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities
-
Conduct a property valuation and market analysis
-
Raise capital
-
Submit and negotiate a winning offer
-
Navigate the purchase process

The 21-person Summer 2022 cohort will work in seven teams of 3 students, each guided by a coach both in the classroom and on field trips. Whether in the classroom or visiting property development sites, students will meet the best of Boston’s real estate industry experts, from architects and designers to agents and investors.
For their culminating project, teams will prepare and present investment strategies to faculty and peers based on hypothetical properties and conditions.
Participants will leave the Fallon Real Estate Youth Entrepreneurship Program with real-world knowledge and legitimate relationships they can use to uplift their lives and their communities.
